Welcome to Bettinelli Vineyards

Bettinelli Vineyards was formed in 1990 by Larry Bettinelli and Mike Browning. Growing up on a local dairy farm, Larry graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and returned to Napa Valley to continue his love of the land by working as a vineyard manager for Beringer and Christian Brothers. Later, he started his own vineyard management company, and now oversees several hundred acres of prime Napa Valley grapes.

Mike Browning, originally from Chicago, moved to Napa in 1987, and became a partner with Larry in Rutherford Vista, a 37-acre vineyard located in the heart of Napa Valley. Together, they formed Turkey Buzzard Farming, Inc., the parent company of Bettinelli Vineyards, and produced their first wines in 1990. Today, Mike is involved with sales and oversees financial matters.

Veronica Barclay, has been involved in wine marketing since 1980, and has worked at Simi, Chateau St. Jean, and Rombauer Vineyards. She formed her own wine marketing consulting firm in 1992, and helped launch Bettinelli Vineyards in the national market. Mike and Larry offered her equal share of ownership in 1997, and she continues to manage sales and daily operations.
